Geoff Twietmeyer
History
Geoff began his career in engineering development, designing, testing and launching automotive interior parts, and heavy truck steering columns.
In 2003 he joined GHSP in Grand Haven as a Product Engineer eventually serving as Engineering Group Leader and ultimately as Global Director of Engineering starting 2008. During Geoff’s time at GHSP he led technical development as the organization underwent substantial growth, adding technical centers in China, and Michigan while transforming from a stamping company to a designer and manufacturer of mechatronic products. While at GHSP, Geoff established an award-winning internship program, reduced engineering cost at the same building new technical capabilities coming out of the great recession.
In 2014 Geoff left GHSP and joined Fisen Corporation as Engineering and IT Manager. Reporting to the CEO, Geoff guided the executive team through the implementation of a strategic planning process, and implementation of a performance management system.
In 2017 Geoff joined Michigan Spring and Stamping as Vice President of Engineering before moving into the role of SVP – Engineering & Operations. Over the course of 5 years Geoff once again mentored the executive team on the implementation of a strategic plan, implemented standardized process for knowledge work, and led 3 cohorts through the What Leaders Do series in the Muskegon area.
Professional Activities
Geoff has been a member of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) Advanced Technology Council, founding member of the Coopersville High School Manufacturing Engineering Partnership Program, and is currently a trustee on the Coopersville Area Public Schools Board of Education. He has published in Engineering Management Journal and is a patent holding engineer.
Education
Geoff earned his Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from Trine University and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University.
